1 Barricane House Mortehoe.JPG

Barricane House, which is in the centre of the village, comprises two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, one single bedroom and can sleep 7 (or 8 using the extra pull out bed or travel cot provided in the single bedroom).

There is one family bathroom, one family shower room and another en-suite shower room, all with proper (not electric) showers.  Downstairs there is a kitchen, dining room, sitting room and a boot room for walking coats, boots and golf trolleys. In the ample attic there is a games room and reading room with views across the Bristol channel.  Wireless broadband access is also provided.  There is a garden front and rear.  Car parking is available in the village car park about 100 yards away.

Barricane House, was built by my great, great grandfather Samuel Conibear in 1860 as Barricane Inn.  This old, but sensitively renovated property, is located in the heart of the scenic Mortehoe village, and is now a much loved and revisited holiday home.  It is used by ourselves for more than 10 weeks a year and so it has many home comforts not usually found in a rental property.

Morte Bay, often wrongly called Woolacombe Bay, with its 3 miles of sands is only a 15 minute walk down the hill from Mortehoe.  Possibly a little longer on the way back!!!

The secluded Barricane Beach, with its great little cafe and shell beach, is a little closer.
